On the Friday before our Thanksgiving Break, we held our annual Turkey Bowl. The homeroom that purchased the most feathers for their turkey earned the right to bowl for turkeys. The top scoring 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grader received a turkey for Thanksgiving. Tiffany Rosalez with Farm Bureau Insurance donated the turkeys. The Turkey Bowl is a fundraiser for the VES Student Council, with the money raised being used to purchase Christmas gifts for children on the local Star Tree.
