Vernon ISD Supt. Dr. Kermit Ward started his first, first day of school with Vernon ISD at McCord Elementary where he found some friends to join him for a first-day photo. Dr. Ward visited each school campus today, walking the hallways, talking to students and teachers, and either went into, or peeped in on each class. All campuses reported a relatively smooth first day of school, which is a great way to start this great 2023-24 school year!!

A big THANK YOU to C&N Flowers and Cindy Henderson for delivering this beautiful bouquet of roses to the Administrative Center this morning wishing Vernon ISD a great 2023-24 school year. This type of community support will help make it a great school year. Thanks again!
